One picture a day (by 365 days) images that would
have been lost and images wouldn t have been found. What happens when
you propose to take the camera with yourself everywhere, all the time,
trying to create a visual registry of a whole year? Leaving behind
all the psycho-obsessive questions, it happens that, among other things,
you find yourself with thousands, and I mean, thousands of photographies.
Good, bad, hard-to-take, easy, typical, surprising, repetitive ones,
a little bit of everything.
Surely, not all of them great pictures. But it is right at this point
where the use of the camera to extend and document our daily perceptive
experiences gives something back to us we had lost, right there, where
the ephimeral private experimentation is transformed into public communication,
where the process becomes a fundamental part of the result.
